Victoria White

Editor, Company

Victoria White was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne but switched the classic short skirt/blue leg fashion combo for the warmer student garb of grey cardi/black jeans while getting a degree in American Studies at The University of Sussex. After a year out at Rutgers University in New Jersey (Abercrombie and Fitch style hoodies with jeans being the clothing of choice in those days) she graduated with a 2:1 and a weekly commute up to London where she landed a job at Inside Soap magazine. And as soap really is the land that style forgot (unless you count Pat Butcher's earrings) she was determined to somehow get into the more fashionable world of women's glossies. It took a move to Australia to launch another TV title and a year in LA as a showbiz reporter but finally she landed her dream job as Deputy Editor on B magazine back in London. From there she switched to Company magazine's deputy role and in 2003 took over as Editor of Company. She's a regular contributor to radio and TV and has appeared for the last three years as an expert on Britain's Next Top Model.

"30 Days of Fashion and Beauty is how every Company reader wants to spend every month. If it were up to her, shopping, pampering and partying would be passed as legislation in the House of Commons so we're embracing the notion with huge delight on the glossy for women in their freedom years. In fact, how about 365 Days of fashion and beauty next year?"
